Readiness

I believe children become great students by having a positive attitude and self-esteem. It's important to have a role model like a teacher or parent who encourges them. Not every child learns in the same process therefore teachers must keep this in mind when developing lesson plans. Running records on students allows the teacher to see where exaclty the student stands.

  1. Nice point, Jennifer! There is a lot that goes into a child's readiness to learn. Having good role models is an excellent part of that. I wonder what else a student might need?

  3. You're right! If the student can't find a positive aspect in school, he or she will struggle to learn. The teacher should definitely keep this in mind and try to involve each student while teaching.
